Le Mans Start 1967

24 Hours

Each year GT40 enthusiasts attend the greatest motoring event in the world, the 24 hours at Le Mans which is held in June. We usually spend the week prior to the race weekend looking around local places of interest and of course attending the race related events which are held throughout the week in Le Mans. Over many year We have been invited by the Classic Automotive du Mans in conjunction with the Automobile Club de l'Ouest and the Le Mans city Marie to participate with our GT40's in the "Grande Parade des Pilotes". This takes place on the Friday evening before the race weekend and is a parade of drivers who will be competing in the coming 24 hours event. They are paraded through the streets of the Le Mans city centre in vintage and classic cars to be seen by a crowd of usually 80,000 - 100,000 people who line the route. The parade is interspersed with marching bands, entertainers, and cars of special interest ( usually only a few ). This is a tremendous spactacle and one that should not be missed.
